Very good. People charming and particularly noticed how well behaved and brought up the Spanish
Children were.
Supermarket spotless under
Hotel Sol y Mar.
So many things we don't get at home.
Staff pleasant.
Probably going back in October!

Very hot 30 degrees plus. Air con a must!!
Holiday
1st went to Calpe in 2012 and stayed in a private villa away from busier areas.
Pure relaxation, great weather and the opportunity to visit nearby Javea and the father-in-law in Denia.
There is a huge hill in the main shopping area so not great if you have trouble walking. Plenty of shops, supermarkets and beach lined cafés and bars.
Returning to the same villa this year and can't wait. I would recommend hiring a villa or apartment and there's a great choice with competitive prices through Owners Direct.
Oh if you do hire a villa you will probably need to rent a car!

Very hot. We where there for 10 days and the weather went from 28 degrees to 38! Cloudless sky and a light breeze.
Wonderful view from Calpe Rock. Sunset is amazing!
Torrential downpour when we got to the appartment (turned out NOT to be a bad sign).
River running down the road, but dont be put off because it stopped within the hour and was totally dried up and in high 30s within 15 mins of it stopping!
Holiday
Very enjoyable. We went to Aqualandia: it was FANTASTIC.
I wouldnt recommend it for small children, but there is a children's area wich was quite cute.
They have a big pool that has waves, lots of fun water slides and other things.
Most of the days we were there we just went down to the brill beach. It's very clean and there are areas with rocks if you are interested in fish (like me) or there are lots of rock free areas too.
You can rent out pedalo boats and go out into the sea; there are also boats with slides! (You should go out quite deep to avoid waves, so you should be able to tread water).
Altogether a great place!

Aqualandia, the local beach, boat rides at the harbour, the Texas Steak House, The Kiwi (sells ice-cream, pastries, bread etc) and the Bull Run (none of the bulls are harmed in ANY WAY. I am a devoted animal lover and if the animals were hurt at all i would NOT have attended).
