Sun, sun and more sun during June and through to October. July and August can be very very hot. Calis itself is paradise, suitable for all age groups.

There are lots of restaurants selling food to suit everyone from every country and the prices are very reasonable.

The beach is lovely but head towards Koca Calis for finer sand. There are a couple of music bars and a variety of shops. There is a market on a Sunday.

It's a great base for visiting other areas, like Fethiye or Olu Deniz, both easily and cheaply reached by Dolmus.

You can take the water taxi over to Fethiye which is a delightful trip.

Fantastic this was the third time my wife and I have been to Calis the resort has everything that we need, plenty of bars & restaurants to choose from at good prices.

The Lukka Bar is a very good place to visit.

We have been recommended to visit Kalcan and we will be doing so when we go on 02/06/14 for our 4th visit to this resort.

Absolutely fantastic! Hot and sunny every day with one or two days above the seasonal average, making the temperature only bearable in the shade.

Evenings also really warm.

Occasionally windy but usually only on the water's edge.

Don't forget to take your SPF30 - you'll need it!

Lovely! Never visited this resort before but would return without hesitation.

Locals really friendly and helpful, food generally really good.

A mixture of holiday makers, i.e. English, Dutch,Turkish, German - this makes for a much better atmosphere than if the resort is full of English people.

Most restaurants were good and the staff were fab.

This resort is not as commercialised as others in Turkey and the demographic is mainly families with one or two singles parties.

Most of the nightlife is reasonably low key, but there are clubs and music bars if you want to stay out late.

Beach has been described as poor but we found it absolutely great and so much better than sitting around a hotel pool all day. The council do charge you but hey, who cares? This meant that the beach was never overcrowded. You choose a bar that you like and they give you free sun bed cushions and then you just pay the council chap when he comes around. You then buy your water or beer from that bar. It's a bit of a gentleman's agreement but worked brilliantly for us because the guys at the bar were fantastic.

Fetiyhe by water taxi, preferably in the evening.
To be honest, it was a bit too hot to do too much sightseeing. We did visit the Sunday market in Fetiyhe but this is quite a walk from the actual town.
We also went to the Calis market by taxi from our hotel and this was fun.

The weather is wonderful in Calis. Sunny skies, a pleasent breeze from the sea.
The temperature can get up in the 80's, but is bearable because of the nice breeze.
The nights are abit cooler than the day, which is lovely to sit and enjoy alfresco eating.

Holiday

We have been to Calis 5 or 6 times and we love it. The people are so friendly, nothing is to much trouble for them.
It has lots of bars and restaurants to go to.
All types of cuisine and lovely settings, watching the sunset over the hills is fabulous. It is one of the seven best sunsets.
We stay in Tenaparts, which is close to the Aqua Park, the beach, bars and restaurants.

Olu Deniz (blue lagoon) is a nice place to visit, not to far away.
Fethiye is a very nice place, good market on a tuesday, nice harbour area. You can take boat trips out to visit 12 islands, which is fun.
A turkish bath is recommended at the start of your holiday to get a fab tan.
