Bintan, Indonesia, is a tropical island destination in the Riau archipelago just across the Singapore Strait from Singapore. March falls within the former, meaning that it's quite wet, hot and humid this time of year.

March is one of the last months of the wet monsoon season in Bintan and there is still plenty of rain and wind throughout the month. Luckily, however, that rainfall generally occurs in reliable afternoon rain showers or thunderstorms. They tend to be short-natured and may even provide some relief from the hot and humid weather. There are basically two types of precipitation that you can expect in Marchoderate rain and thunderstorms. They are observed respectively on 47% and 42% of all days with precipitation. The probability that rainfall occurs does decrease slightly in the course of the month, from 71% to 63%

Sunshine Hours

The percentage of cloud cover decreases in a similar matter. It drops from 62% in the beginning of the month to 54% at the end. This, naturally, opens up the skies for more sunshine. And indeed, March is quite a sunny month, each day having 8 hours of sunshine on average.

Temperature

Although rainfall varies significant throughout the year, temperatures remain beautifully and reliably constant. March enjoys an average temperature of 27°C, which is basically the annual average as well. The only month that's cooler is January with its 26°C average, while AprilMay and June are a tiny bit warmer at 28°C.
