Nice and hot &sunny but it can rain cat & dogs.
Siroco 3* Hotel meals were nice.
Clean rooms and great staff and you can have a good nights sleep.

Holiday

Marina is nice to walk round & shop although a little pricey.
I would recommend a coffee in Monets.
A trip to Bar-Albatros or Lizziz near Hotel Bali you wont be disappointed.

Train, bus or taxi you can travel to Toromalinas, Malaga or fuengirola is cheap

Went twice in 2012: June was great and very warm with temperatures in the early 30s.
August: VERY hot with temperature reaching mid 30s by 10 pm!!

No rain either holiday although it can be a bit foggy first thing before the sun burns it off.

Love it! Stayed in the Pueblo both times which is a fantastic white washed village with lovely residents.

Enough restaurants and bars to keep you going and just a short, cheap, bus ride to the seafront and the chiringuitos :)

Take the train to Fuengirola for the market, drive to Marbella/Puerto Banus.

We have been going to the Sahara Sunset Resort for the last 15 years and we have had a real mixed bag of weather. One year we had torrential rain all the holiday and gale force winds another year! On the whole though, we have had some terrific hot days too.

Fabulous! As we have been going to the area for so long we thought we had found all the local haunts, but we are still being surprised.The Marina was only being built the first year we went to this part of Spain and we have seen it evolve over the years.

Colomares Castle, which you get to by going up to the Pueblo and walking down a very steep hill to get to. The walk down is okay but going back up is a killer!

Would also recommend Mijas Pueblo, where they still have the Burro taxis and I must say, there are great improvements to the conditions for the donkeys than there used to be.

We love it. It is a bit expat British in places, but the beach and Marina are fantastic.

The weather was fantastic, we had sunshine everyday which was ideal when walking around and going on the beach.

Holiday was great, Benalmadena is a lovely town. It had some great bars, a lovely beach and a beautiful marina.

Plaza de Ole is a beautiful square just off the promenade near to the Marina , it has a beautiful fountain and bars . Bar Ole is a great looking bar with confortable seating and sofas with nice cushions , a relaxing atmosphere and great hosts.

It rained off and on. The rain was very heavy but we were assured it was not always like that. Even though it rained it was still pleasantly warm i.e. 70 degrees.

We found it easy using public transport to get around.

We also took advantage of the free outings and local transport to visit as many places as possible.

We found it not as expensive as we expected and the people we very friendly.

We traveled through Aldi travel and can not recommend it highly enough. The hotel was the Bali (half board) and although it was on what is called Cardiac Hill it was very good. The staff were very good at making you feel welcome.

Jaspers Bar in Plaza Ole is a very traditional place to drink and chill out. The Hosts were very welcoming and the atmosphere was just right. Nice and warm in side.

Myself and my boyfriend travelled for a relaxing holiday, the people are more than friendly and the area is beautiful and very clean.

We always had something to do and places to visit. We loved it and will be most definately going back next year.

i would recommend going to Friends restaurant situated on palm tree avenue. We went there a few times and never left feeling hungry.

The Marina is a beautiful place to visit and a walk down the promenade is a must.

I would definately recommend this holiday to everyone.

Calm and relaxed, perfect.

The Marina is wonderful, as is Plaza Ole.

The beaches are large and have every service you can ask for in a holiday.

I have been many times in peak season but never off.

Plaza Ole was a hidden gem of a square.

Typical Andaluz in style and a friendly mix of locals.

A few bars open but Bar Ole! was a delight. Relaxed late night drinks, bar staff friendly and young, nice decor and music.

Good restaurants on beach.

Stayed at the Triton Hotel which was full of people.

Nice accomodation, but try and get a room with either a sea view or a view of the plaza down below.

Jaspers Bar in the Plaza De Ole. It had lots of internal and external space which was a blessing when the rain came down. Cosy and warm inside.

Stayed here in September 2008 the weather was absolutely fantastic the whole time we were there.Long sunny days and warm summer evenings. What more can one ask for from a holiday

It was my first time in Benalmadena but will not be the last. This place is beautiful with fabulous beaches, a wonderful promenade area to walk along which is virtually all for people apart from the occaisional policeman on a motorcycle. The Marina area is a hidden gem with lots of cafe's, bars, shops and entertainment. You can take an evening boat ride they even have a Chinese Junk which looks amazing. Benalmadena itself is stunning, very clean and it has not been over developed so you get a feel of true Spain.

Go to Pueblo Benalmadena the village in the hills it is fabulous and the people are so friendly. We had lunch sitting outside a bar in the market square being serenaded by a spanish guitarist, all I can say is WOW.

Not bad for January, but obviously it is winter better than U.K. It was O.K during the day about 64 but evening take a coat if you go in winter. Some rain but like I said better than U.K

We love Benalmadena and have been going for the last fifteen years we always go at least once a yeard and twice if possible. Although we have other holidays at other destinations we will always go back to Belalmadena. The local people both ex pats and Spanish are always friendly there's loads of clubs,pubs and restaurants to choose from and lots of good quality accommodation. As well as a nice sea front and beach La Poloma park is beautiful with all the animals running round.

About 28 to 30 most of the fortnight, had 1 day of thunder then a day of strong but warm wind off the sea.Pleasant in the evening not to hot.

Very relaxing, we enjoyed long walks every day along the prom, round the marina,paloma park etc.
Stayed at the Doramar lovely accom and friendly staff, plus entertainment every night.Lots of nice pubs and restaurants near at Bonanza Square.

The weather was perfect.
36 degrees. A little too hot in the evenings but manageable.
I believe it is going to get hotter as reaching 40 degrees on departing.

Total stress free.
A short 2hour 15min flight and transfer just 20mins by taxi.
Quite a british resort but suited my family.
Excellent swimming pools, hot sunshine.

I visited Benalmedena last May 2007, the weather was completly a surprise very hot with a slight mild wind. It stayed like this for the whole 10 days of my stay. Reaching 90 on my last day there.

I had a most fabulous time staying at Arenal golf, not far from the mountains.
The facilities were top class, and my apartment was just like a luxurious London apartment with a huge 40" plasma screen; so I could enjoy the football from my sun lounger, whilst I topped up my tan...Great! In Benalmadena there are plenty of things to see as well as enjoying entertaining family days out to places like the theme park, Tivoli World, the fabulous Jardin de Las Aguilas (Garden of Eagles), see the penguins and dolphins at Selwo Marina and Sea Life or take a ride in the Cable Car to see breathtaking views of the coast.It really has it all for youngsters an old funksters....For the foodies, try local Spanish bars, drinks are plentiful and the local foods are mouth watering.

I highly recommend this town, not more than 15 mins away from Malaga airport. The views are outstanding.There is a local coastal bus that runs from Malaga to Fuengirola, which costs about 60p to enjoy the ride.You can actually walk the coastal promenade straight through to Torremolinos
