Weather
July, pretty good. Warm days, cooler in the evenings, a light jumper was useful if sitting outside. On the coast it can get quite windy but Apremont is much calmer.Holiday
Rented a cottage at La Bouctiere about 4 miles from Apremont.Swimming in fresh water in Apremont lake was pretty good, not overcrowded and handy for the village and its shops and bars.
The coast is about 15 miles away with wide clean beaches south of St Jean de Monts.
Places Recommended
Ile de Noirmoutier and the Passage de Gois, only useable at low tide. Good oysters.Town of Challans good for supermarkets and shopping.
