After a pleasant March, the weather continues to stay pleasant in April in Adeje, Tenerife, at an average of 19°C. It certainly is a good time to visit this popular holiday destination. Throughout the month, temperatures can see a high of up to 22°C and a low of 16°C which is warmer than the months before. Whether the temperatures are high or low, you will be able to enjoy a day around the pool. While the average temperature has stayed the same as the month before, the average number of rainy days has dropped again from 11 days to 10 days and with just 31mm of rain the drier season is well on its way.
There are 8 hours of sunshine during the month of April which is one more hour than the month before. With a full day of sunshine and warm temperatures, you'll have great days at the beach and waterparks. If you're planning on heading to the beach, the average sea temperature in the month is 19°C which is the same as the months before so you may not want to swim just yet. You may also experience more windy days than the month before but this should not stop you from going out and about.
While April is a spring month, the temperatures are not that dissimilar from the winter months because this holiday destination experiences warm temperatures all year round. However, there will be less rainfall from now on. Because of the beautiful early spring weather, Adeje is a popular choice for holidaymakers with hotels getting busy so book in advance.
Adeje is located on the south west coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands and so boasts higher average temperatures in this month than other locations on the island such as Puerto de la Cruz where the average temperature is 5°C lower, at 14°C. Things to Do
It is the start of spring and so there are many activities and days out you can plan in April. One activity that must fit into your holiday is the Canary Escape Game. You can do this as a couple or as a family as long as your children are aged nine and over. You will be placed in a locked room and the aim of the game is to escape. To do this, you need to work as a team to solve a number puzzles to escape.
If you want to venture out to explore the ocean then head to The Ocean's Dream Factory which is an amazing diving experience. Even if you have never been diving before, the incredible instructors here will guide you through it so beginners can enjoy this venture too. You will get one-on-one training so you feel safe throughout the diving experience and so you can relax enjoy all the undersea wonders around you.
If you want to try out another sea adventure during your stay then head to the Dive Center Aquanautic Club Tenerife where you will find extremely friendly staff that are always ready to help. The diving experience is very fairly priced and you get dive with top of the range diving equipment.

If you're looking for local cuisine to sink your teeth into, try the Salitre Restaurante which is situated in a cute alcove overlooking the sea in La Caleta, near Adeje. Here you will find great service and equally great food and prices. It is a very popular place to eat and so it can get busy during lunch and dinner times. If you visit, you will find on the menu bread and dips, fresh fish, seafood and tapas to choose from.
If you're looking for a bit of entertainment and something different to do at night then the Transilvania Kafe is a must. It is a fairly new restaurant but is quickly becoming a popular one. You can enjoy cocktails in a setting filled with skulls and skeletons and also visit the crypt to taste their special elixir.
