Things to do in Valencia in April

April is a vibrant time in Valencia. Visitors to the city can witness many of Valencia's most famous celebrations and fiestas which are held throughout the month. Semana Santa Marinera (Holy Week) is a national holiday held in April in Valencia, with the religious festivities occurring up until Easter.

Another very important festival in Valencia is Moros y Cristianos. Costumed parades celebrate the occasion, which is held in honour of the battles that occurred between the Christians and the Moors in the 1400s.

April is a great time to explore Valencia's famous City of Arts and Sciences which is located half way between the city and the coast.
