La Immaculada Concepcion
The celebration of the Immaculate Conception (La Immaculada Concepcion) is held every year on December 8th. Groups of minstrels walk the streets playing music and singing songs. Head down to Plaza del Triunfo and Santa Cruz for a chance to hear them.
Mercadillo de los Jueves
There are plenty of Christmas fairs and markets leading up to Christmas, including the Mercadillo de los Jueves. Held in the Calle Feria on Thursdays, it sells books, bric-a-brac and various antiques.
Mercadillo del Duque la Magdalena
The Mercadillo del Duque la Magdalena, held in the Arenal area of the city, is a craft market selling mostly jewellery and clothing and is open Thursday to Sunday.
