The weather in Seville during February is slightly warmer than January. The sun shines for at least six hours per day.

Things to do in Seville in February
Seville boasts many magical sights for tourists to explore. One of the largest Christian churches in the world, Seville Cathedral is a must visit if you love history or architecture. Located on the site of the 12th century Almohad mosque, this striking building is adorned with gothic embellishments, with several of the cathedrals pieces of art on show inside. The tomb of Christopher Columbus also resides inside the building, although this has been the cause of confusion in many years as some still believe that the remains are of his son.

Dates to note
For those who enjoy being active, the Seville Marathon has occurred every February since 1985. This increasingly popular event is for serious runners only as the 26 mile route passes through some of the city's most well-known sites. If you don't fancy taking part then come and cheer on the runners instead.
Taking place in the second or third week of February is the Los Carnavales. These colourful parades are bursting with traditional music and dancing for all to enjoy.

During February and March is the Festival de Musica Antigua which celebrates historical musical instruments. If you love music then this is definitely an event you will love to attend.
