Sapa has a number of attractions and activities to keep tourists to the area enticed. These include local festivals and places of interest, such as the Can Cau Market which is open on Saturdays. Situated close to the Chinese border, this market is only small in size but it's very colourful and attracts people from eight different local ethnic backgrounds as well as visitors from around the world. You can take a tour here and enjoy a local lunch of horse stew and corn wine. You can also view the locals making corn wine ready to sell on the market too. Late in the afternoon, visit local man Mr Ho telling stories and playing traditional music.
