Palma Nova in March is marked by days that gradually warm and lengthen. The shortest day of the month is March 1, with 11:20 hours of sunlight; the longest is March 31 with 12:38 hours. The sun rises between 6:45AM and 7:45AM, and sets between 6:45PM and 8:15PM, depending on the date.

The air ranges from mildly humid to very humid, rarely dropping below 37%, and tends to be more dry as the month progresses. Winds blow up to 7 m/s, usually from the southwest or northeast.

Over the course of March, temperatures increase slightly, and days grow longer and drier, though there is still a fair amount of cloud cover.

If you're looking for accommodation on your break, try the Hotel Gabarda. The budget hotel has an excellent location, minutes away from the beach, a short drive to the airport and close to the city centre.

The beaches of Palma Nova are just a short 15 km west of the airport. The sands tend to be quieter and more tranquil than those in Magaluf. Palma Nova is famous for its Paseo Maritimo Coastal Promenade, where both locals and tourists can walk and enjoy the scenery and at the same time check out the long line of souvenir shops and stores parallel to the beach.

There are three beaches beside the town--Playa Carregador, Playa Palma Nova and Playa Son Maties. Alongside all beaches are restaurants, bars, and free car parking. The former is a 600-metre stretch of fine sand, good for enjoying water activities like boating or windsurfing. The latter is where you can find all the bars and nightclubs. Playa Palma Nova is a nice middle ground, at 1 kilometre interspersed with small playgrounds. It's a great place for families and couples alike.

There are a ton of restaurants in Palma Nova as well from fast foods to gourmet dining to all you can eat buffets. One can never go hungry in Palma Nova. Many of the bars and clubs that populate the nightlife scene are only open on the weekends in the wintertime and early spring as most of their patrons have already migrated back inland for the winter.

Curry Lounge offers excellent Indian food in a friendly atmosphere. As one of the best and most popular Indian restaurants on Mallorca, their dishes of chicken bhauna and biryani are cooked to perfection. The lounge seats 80 diners with takeaway services available on request.

Port O'Call (Paseo del Mar 16-18) is a reliable restaurant near the mini-golf course that serves pasta, seafood and meat dishes. The ambiance is welcoming and the food absolutely delicious. Be sure to try the ribs that fall off the bone and the white chocolate pannacotta.

Palma Nova is located on the island of Majorca and is a popular resort town. It was specifically developed to be a holiday attraction and it has become a major holiday destination for tourists of all ages and interests.

March is outside of the main tourism season in Palma Nova, so it is likely to be much quieter. Tourists may also find that some of the main tourism attractions (including the nightlife) is not as active at this time of the year. However, there is still plenty to see and do. During the month of March, Palma Nova observes Holy Week from Palm Sunday until Easter Sunday. Visitors will be able to see numerous processions each day and will likely be able to enjoy good food and good company as this celebration spans the entire week.

March is a great time of the year to go sightseeing in Palma Nova. Visitors are advised to see the Cathedral de Palma, the Diocesan Museum, and La Seu Cathedral, which boasts the world's largest rose coloured stain glass window. As well as this, the Museum of Modern Art is well worth a visit, housing Picasso's and Cezanne's.
