Reggae Marathon & Half Marathon is Jamaica's premier International Marathon Event. This is where marathoners, sports enthusiasts as well as beginners converge in Negril, Jamaica for a fun event characterized by good vibes and lots of Reggae music. Reggae Marathon takes place over a 2-day period with events such as the rated gourmet Pasta Party and Marathon Expo that features some of the island's best art & craft with running related products.

Christmas in Jamaica features plentiful servings of fruitcake and sorrel juice along with sightings of Junkunoo parades (perhaps equivalent to Halloween in the USA). These masqueraders dressed in “scary” costumes dance in the streets across the island. Had too much fun on Christmas Day? Don’t worry, the day after Christmas is Boxing Day and still a holiday when you can celebrate the joys of the season and your Jamaican holiday.
New Years - Watch Night Service

The tradition of Watch Night began on December 31, 1862. Slaves in the U.S. gathered in churches to await news that President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation had taken effect. Watch Night services have always been a favorite of those who prefer to start the new year on a reflective and holy note. Locations like Family Church on the Rock in Montego Bay or Fellowship Tabernacle in Kingston are both popular venues. Starting just prior to midnight, communities come together to see in the New Year.
