    Tourists can celebrate in a non-traditional way at the Warehouse Project. This underground club is set up from September to New Year's Day. There are dance parties with a different DJ every night of the week.

    The various theatres, opera houses and galleries in the area often have temporary exhibits and shows pertaining to the holiday season.

    No matter what time of year, though, tourists can attend a wide variety of performances at venues such as the Royal Exchange Theatre, which was the former location of the city's historic cotton exchange.

    Other venues include the BBC Philharmonic orchestra or the Manchester Arena, which seats over 21,000 and is the city's main pop music venue.

    The city's museums are open all year as well and provide a multifaceted look at the city's past.
