Things To Do In Los Gigantes In December

Walk To The Lookout Point

If the weather's a bit too cold to chill out at the beach or by your hotel's pool, walk to the top of the main Los Gigantes road and admire the resort's cliffs from the lookout point. This 30-minute walk is quite strenuous, so if you're not up for the challenge, you can catch a taxi or a bus to this point instead. This lookout point is the best place from which to admire the cliffs, as well as vistas across the sea and out to the other Canary Islands which you can see well on a clear day. There is also a restaurant located next to the lookout point which serves local Canarian food during the day.

Snorkelling

On the other hand, if the sea is just warm enough for you to swim in, head down to the natural seawater rock pool at the eastern end of the resort and have a go at snorkelling. This location is perfect for beginner and novice snorkelers because the rocks which create the pool protect everyone inside them from sudden waves and make sure no one gets swept out to sea. You have to pay to use the rock pools, but for the cost of entrance, you also get to use the facilities which include toilets, sun loungers and parasols.
