    Rain

Rainfall in June is slightly less than it was in May and now totals 218mm. This is still quite a lot, though, and the rain brings high humidity as well. In terms of total rainfall, June is the sixth-wettest month of the year, but it's without any question still part of the wet monsoon season. The average chance that rainfall occurs on any given day is 67%, a percentage that doesn't change much throughout the month.

Thunderstorms are the most likely type of precipitation, occurring on 67% of the days with rainfall. Light rain is far less likely, happening on 21% of rainy days, and moderate rain is even less likely than that, being observed on only 8% of the days with rainfall. Rain usually occurs in the afternoon, so you can still enjoy the island at other times of the day.

    Clouds and Sunshine Hours

Cloud cover is essentially constant all-year round and is therefore also constant in June. It ranges around 90% on any given day, which means that the skies in June are mostly cloudy. Rays of sunshine do peak through the clouds, though, and there still is an average of 9 sunshine hours per day, which is the annual maximum.

The length of the days in June is the same throughout the entire month. June 1 has 12.28 hours of daylight; June 20, the longest day of the year, has 12.29 daylight hours; and June 30 has 12.28 hours of daylight.
