What's the weather like in Guardalavaca in December

December is definitely winter time, but here that does not mean snowfall and icy windscreens. Here in Guardalavaca, you could be forgiven for thinking that you have accidentally flown through a time loop into the summer, as the weather is mild all year round and is certainly very forgiving at the end of the year.

Rainfall

You will not see much rainfall, as only 6 days of this month are usually wet, with a total average of 62mm of water falling. This means that even if it does rain, it will not be for long. Nor will the days be short and dark, because the sun likes to stay out here all year long as well.

Sunshine Hours

There are an average of 8 hours of sunshine a day, making for a long period of exploration between sunrise and sunset.

Temperature

You will not see the coldest weather of the year until January, and although this month is fairly close, it is still warm enough. The average daily temperature is a comfortable 22°C, with highs ranging up as far as 26°C. On the downside, the lows can go as far as 18°C though we wouldn't start digging out your winter wardrobe just yet, as that is still very mild for a winter climate.

Sea Temperature

One of the big things that you will want to do when you visit Cuba is to take a dip in the sea, and you will find it very comfortable when you do so, too. The average sea temperature is around 27°C, only a very small blip lower than the peak of the summer months at 29°C. You will find that it is very comfortable indeed to go for a swim at this time of year, and the season means that the beaches will be a lot quieter too. It's a great time to visit!

Things to do in Guardalavaca in December

December may not be prime beach weather, but you can warm yourself up in the evenings by learning how the Cubans dance.
