Audiovisual Arts Festival (AVfest) 🖼
Organised by the Ionian University’s Department of Audio and Visual Arts, this ten-day event transforms Corfu Town into a hub for contemporary creativity. Paleokastritsa Festival 🎡
The village of Paleokastritsa, famous for its monastery and turquoise bays, hosts its annual festival in May. Unification of the Ionian Islands Celebration 🏞
Each year on 21 May, Corfu joins the rest of the Ionian Islands in commemorating their union with Greece in 1864. Corfu Town becomes the centre of activity, with colourful parades, official ceremonies, marching bands and people dressed in traditional Ionian costume. It’s both a patriotic holiday and a cultural showcase, reflecting the island’s historical importance. A music festival focused on soul, jazz, funk, R&B, disco, and club classics, held at Kókkinia Beach Resort. It’s not tied to religious themes — more about good music, beach parties, DJ sets, boat parties, pool parties, etc. Aimed at “over-30s soul lovers,” but welcoming all who want sun, sea, and soulful vibes.
