The daily average temperature for Bodrum is usually around 29 °C and those searching for a hot summer will not be disappointed by the sweltering weather. Sun worshippers flock to the resort in their droves as July is peak season for tourism. The highest ever recorded temperature for July in Bodrum is a boiling hot 44 °C with the lowest being 14°C. The average sea temperature in January is normally around 24°C which mostly feels warm and many will enjoy taking a splash or swim to cool off from the heat. The average humidity for the resort is around 48% and it can feel humid and sticky due to the very high temperatures. Caution is advised as many can feel fatigued in the heat. It's best to avoid spending too much time in the sun and to apply a high SPF to protect your skin. Also ensure that you spend time in cooler shaded areas and drink lots of water to keep hydrated.

There are several stunning places to stay in Bodrum. One recommendation is the Artemis Pension. Situated between Bodrum Castle and the Halikarnas Disco in a beautiful cove, this small hotel is the perfect place to stay during your visit. Located on the beach front, each room has en suite facilities, air conditioning and satellite TV. The private beach area is the ideal location to relax and enjoy the sea views while free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel if you need to catch up on your emails or favourite social media networks.

Another small but perfect hotel is the Sariyaz Hotel. Located in the centre of Bodrum and just 500 metres away from the beach, this tranquil establishment boasts a swimming pool, children's pool, bar, free Wi-Fi in public areas and is within walking distance of some of Bodrums best nightlife. Containing 26 guest rooms, each has air conditioning, TV, minibar and hairdryer. Furthermore, the 24 hour reception area offers first class service to all guests.

You may be surprised to find Chinese cuisine in Bodrum but that's exactly what you'll get at Hong Kong Marina. Situated in the centre of the resort opposite the marina, this establishment opens from April until the end of October to cater for tourist season. Other than Chinese food, you can enjoy an English breakfast or another delicious dish to fill your appetite.

If you're hoping to discover something to do in the evening then you can drink some refreshing beverages at the Korfez Bar. This establishment is massively popular with locals and is one of the few nightspots in Bodrum to feature rock music. If you're a fan of rock and are looking for a lively atmosphere then this is the ideal bar for you.

There is plenty to do in Bodrum at this time of year. If you want to get away from the heat then why not enjoy a day trip on a yacht. There are many yachts at the marina and Morning Tour Travel run a seven hour trip that includes a visit to Aquarium Bay, Black Island, Rabbit Bay and Red Bay. The price of the tour includes lunch and it departs from Bodrum every day at 11am. You'll find this tour running from April to December and it's a highly recommended trip to check out. 

There are several other boat trips in the area and most offer the opportunity to go swimming, snorkelling or just to simply relax and sunbathe.
