What's the weather like in Berlin in September

When September rolls around in the Berlin, it signals the official start of the autumn season with the temperatures starting to wane and the rain amounts slowing down. It's still a great time of the year for enjoying the sports the residents of the city like to watch, such as rugby, football and running. The city plays host to numerous big athletic events throughout the year, and many of the residents and visitors enjoy staying active with their own outdoor activities.

Temperature

Compared to August, the average daily temperature drops nearly three degrees, down to 15°C (around 58°F) from the previous month's 18°C (about 64°F). The daytime highs for this time of the year get up to 19°C (around 66°F), still warm for the start of autumn and a great temperature for being outside. You'll want to bring along light-weight layers to put on and take off throughout the day, as the temperature can fluctuate from morning to evening.

In the evening and overnight hours, the lows drop down to 10°C (about 50°F), so bring along a jacket or sweater if you plan on being out and about during those times. The city has a vibrant nightlife, so you'll definitely want to plan on checking out some of the bars and restaurants at some point during your trip. In this part of Germany, you can expect around seven hours of sunshine each day.
