June is a very popular time to head to Sunny Beach, when the temperatures are certainly warm enough to enjoy everything you expect from a summer holiday, without the major crowds of the following months.

Temperature

If you're expecting a sun tan, then you won't be disappointed, with an average June temperature of around 21°C, hitting a high of a very warm 25°C on the hottest days. Despite the day time temperatures, evenings in Sunny Beach are pleasant enough, and not too sticky, with a low of around 16°C, due to the fresh mountain air which constantly washes over the resort.

You can expect a huge 12 hours of sunlight during June, setting the standard for the coming summer season, and rain is still consistent, at around 49mm per month, affecting on average 6 days only.

Ivana Palace Hotel

Alternatively, Ivana Palace Hotel is as opulent as it sounds, just 300m from the beach itself, with a large outdoor swimming pool if you don't fancy sandy feet.

Chaika Beach Hotel

If the beach is your main focus however, then Chaika Beach Hotel, right on the beach front, is for you. This offers an all-inclusive option if you so wish, which is always ideal for families.

Beaches for June for Sunny Beach

The growing crowds in Sunny Beach might mean you want to get away to something a little quieter and more serene, and in that case you need to be hiring a car or jumping on the public bus network and heading two hours away to the south-eastern Black Sea Coast.

Mouth Beach

Mouth Beach is near Sinemorets, a slice of heaven and one of the best beaches on the coastal stretch. This is nature at its best, and quite a wild beach, so perhaps not the best idea if you're travelling with children who want to swim in the sea. If you're after rest and relaxation however, this is for you.

Restaurants and Bars for Sunny Beach in June

Mandarin Bar and Diner

If you're fancying a bit of Chinese food whilst you're away, which many people do, then Mandarin Bar and Diner is without a doubt the best place for Chinese cuisine whilst you're in Sunny Beach. A large menu will greet you, however there are other international dishes on offer too.

The Harp

Alternatively, The Harp is a popular spot for dinner, with European dishes and live music whilst you eat.

Once you've lined your stomach, maybe it's time to experience Sunny Beach's legendary nightlife for yourself and in that case you need to wait until around 2am to head to the clubs in resort. There are countless to mention, but Disco OrangeBedroom, and Guava Beach Club are three which are particularly popular, and more than cater for your neon-lit, dancing 'til dawn, drinking needs.

Things to Do in Sunny Beach in June

Obviously the warmer temperatures mean you will want to hit the beach when you visit Sunny Beach, and without a doubt this is where most of the day's life is when you walk around resort. Despite that, you may want to get out and enjoy something a little more hands-on, and in that case why not try something new?

Pony Trekking

Pony trekking is great fun, and shows you some of the real beauty of the countryside around Sunny Beach. You can head to Kosharitsa to the horse riding club as part of an excursion or on your own steam, and take part in a pony trek with an experienced instructor. Once you've galloped along the beach, you can head into the countryside and explore a little more. There are several tours available, so it really depends on the time you have and how confident you feel.

Flower Street

Alternatively maybe you want to indulge in a little retail therapy, and in that case the rather wonderfully named Flower Street is for you. This is the only road in Sunny Beach which actually has a name, and is full of colourful stalls where you can buy souvenirs and essentials for your day on the beach.

Royal Beach Mall

Once you've done the markets, maybe it's time to head to the air-conditioned heaven that is the Royal Beach Mall, where you will find big-named stores to give your credit card a little bashing.
