Medovo Winery
Alternatively, if you are hell-bent on relaxation then head 12km away from the main resort centre to Medovo Winery. Whilst Bulgarian wine might not be up there with the world's most famous these days, it is still very tasty indeed, and here you can enjoy wine tasting and learn about its production, in the beautiful Bulgarian countryside.
Spirit of Burgas Festival
August is also the time of the traditional Spirit of Burgas Festival, so jump on the bus to Bourgas and enjoy a weekend of music and festivities! You will need to book your ticket ahead of time as this is one very popular event, but if you do manage to get yours then you will be treated to a musical line up of some of the biggest names in the industry, with fun, festivities, and fireworks too.
