What's the weather like in Sa Coma in September?
September brings a sharp cool down to the region as summer ends and autumn takes over. However, this is still a great time to visit as the majority of the crowds have returned home and good deals can be found for hotels and flights. The majority of the month is still dry and will also allow visitors to enjoy the myriad of outdoor activities on the island.
Temperature
For the month, the average daily temperature is a much cooler 21°C (70°F). This is a big drop off from the record warmth of the month before. However, visitors can still leave the heavy jackets at home with an average overnight low of 16°C (61°F). While these temperatures are cool enough for long sleeves or a sweater, anything heavier is still unnecessary. Temperatures will rebound nicely throughout the daytime hours to an average afternoon high of 26°C (79°F). This is certainly warm enough for shorts and short sleeves later in the day.
Rain
Rainfall amounts for the month are also quite a bit higher than in the previous month. The average rainfall for this time of the year is 50mm. That rain is over an average period of 8 days. As a result, much of the month is still dry, but there may be some heavier thunderstorms to deal with while on holiday. During the month, the region also begins to see much less sun. The region will see an average of 10 hours of sunshine per day for this time period.
Sea Temperature
However, this is still a great time to hit the beach. Because water temperatures are slower to cool than those on land, the water is still warm enough to enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling, or just swimming. Throughout the month the average water temperature is still a pleasant 25°C (77°F). The waters will actually stay warm enough for swimming for another month after this one.
