What's the Weather Like in Orlando in September
In September the temperature starts to cool down a bit in Orlando, but it is not that much cooler than in August. The average daytime temperatures are still around 32°C (90°F) whereas the average minimum temperatures go down to 22°C (72°F). Protect yourself from the fierce Floridian sun by wearing light layers of clothing, a hat and sunglasses, not to mention a decent sun cream with a high SPF.

On average, September in Orlando will see 9 hours of sunshine per day. The weather is still warm but slightly less humid and more bearable compared to the preceding summer months. Even so, be sure to keep hydrated with plenty of water. This is especially the case if you plan on hitting the theme parks as you could be standing around in queues for long periods of time.

For somewhere to dance the night away, look no further than The Beacham. This extravagant multi-level event space in Downtown Orlando is home to a nightclub as well as serving as a music venue.
Superstars to have graced the stage of this historic venue include The Police, Backstreet Boys and 50 Cent as well as some of dance music's most innovative DJs like Benny Benassi, Tiesto and David Guetta. Celebrities and locals come to this vintage theatre turned club so dress to impress! Check out Ladies Night on Friday for reggae and hip-hop or Tropical Sundays for salsa and meringue music.
Things to do in Orlando in September
There's plenty to get involved with, whether you want to avoid the sun or brave the heat.
For indoor entertainment, why not go to the intriguing Wonderworks on International Drive? This up-turned building was once a top-secret research laboratory before it was swept away by a tornado when an experiment went wrong. As you step inside, everything will be upside down, so you'll have to enter the inversion tunnel before you can join in on the fun.
Here you'll find more than 100 interactive exhibits discover what it's like to be in an earthquake or hurricane, experience a logical-defying simulated rollercoaster and feel the sensation of 3,500 sharp nails rise up from under you as you lie on a bed of nails. If that wasn't thrilling enough, there's a ropes challenge course, laser tag, a video arcade zone and a 4D cinema.
Sporting fans should check out the Amway Centre in Downtown Orlando home to the Orlando Magic baseball team, the Orlando Predators football team and the Orlando Solar Bears ice hockey team. As well as sports it also holds music concerts and other special events so check the calendar to decide when to go. There are plenty of restaurants and bars as well as a children's play area and entertainment for fans of the teams.
If you want to get active in the water, why not head to Orlando Watersports Complex. It may be hot weather but you'll soon cool down as you make a splash at this water sports park designed for wakeboarding, wakeskating, kneeboarding and waterskiing.
Another option worth exploring if you don't mind getting wet is Volcano Bay. This recently-opened water park is the newest addition to Universal Studios and, as its name would suggest, is themed around its own volcano, the 200-feet tall "Krakatau". The volcano houses 3 drop capsule slides and there's a variety of other attractions to keep the whole family entertained.
