What's the Weather Like in Meloneras in February
The weather in February is as cold as it is going to get, so make sure to pack a jacket if you are visiting Meloneras this month, but you won't be needing scarves or hats!. The average daily temperature rests around 17°C, staying the same as in January, meaning you are not going to see any warmer weather despite the advance towards the spring months just yet.

The Oasis Maspalomas offers recently refurbished apartments complete with kitchens, balconies or terraces, and a sea view in the majority of cases. There is a small supermarket within the complex so that you can self-cater more easily, and the apartments are cleaned five days a week.

It is run by an Italian exat and is therefore best suited to those who speak Italian or Spanish, though it does cater to all visitors.

The House Restaurant Meloneras might just catch your eye even before you go inside, as they have huge joints of meat hanging up in the window ready to be served. In the other window you will see a tank of lobster waiting to be chosen! Here you will find a restaurant that has been decorated stylishly and offers great food to a high quality.
Pitos y Flautas
Pitos y Flautas is a tapas bar serving Mexican style food. They also have a fully stocked bar and great views from the seating area over the beach. Their main speciality is a seafood paella, which earns great reviews. They sell many small but beautifully appointed dishes which look almost too good to eat.
Maximilians Restaurant serves Italian a bit of a favourite in Gran Canaria! This is one of the more upmarket options if you want to go for this cuisine. Their speciality dishes include veal fillet, fillet steak, entrecote, a traditional dish of chicken breast with tomato, garlic, and hot spices, and sole or other fresh fish on the day.

To keep the family occupied in February, when you may not find it warm enough weather to stay at the beach every single day, try heading to Holiday World Maspalomas. This is a great theme park which is aimed mostly at kids, with some amazing rides and events planned all year round. Their attractions include an F1 simulator, pony rides, and classic rides like the runaway train.

There are some great restaurants and bars here, and it is generally rated as one of the better shopping centres in the area. You can pick up cheap cigarettes here too, which are great for taking home if you want to save some money. A good idea for the odd rainy day this month.
