Sorolla Museum
Honouring one of Spain's most famous impressionists, Joaquin Sorolla, the Sorolla Museum is located inside the painter's family home and is an excellent showcase to his work. While the artist painted in a variety of styles, he was most prominently known for his well-lit beach scenes, which are heavily emphasized in the museum. An excellent addition to some of the other art museums and galleries in Madrid, this is a popular option for art aficionados looking for an alternative to the Golden Art Triangle. Rio
If you need to let off some steam or find somewhere to relax in downtown Madrid, head to the Rio, a sprawling expanse down by the city's river which is home to various monuments and green spaces.
