Things to do in La Manga in January
La Manga Go Kart
One way to enjoy La Manga in winter is with go karts. Located at the south end of La Manga, near Cape Palos, is the La Manga Go Kart circuit. With three circuits of varying difficulty, all ages can enjoy the thrill of racing a go kart. For very young children there are double karts where an adult can steer while the child has a play steering wheel of their own. For the more serious racers, the main competitive circuit is 950 km. The Royal Spanish Automobile Federation has even held competitions at the La Manga circuit.
Enjoy the Water
You can still enjoy the water in winter too. With a large variety of fish in both the Mar Menor and Mediterranean, both recreational fishermen and seasoned pros can enjoy casting a rod into the waters surrounding La Manga. Fishing is allowed from almost any of the bridges and harbors along La Manga, though the more serious fishermen may prefer renting a boat from the Tomas Maestre Marina to head out for some deep sea fishing.
