What's the Weather Like in Kerala in September

The high temperatures and torrential rain continue in KeralaIndia, in September, when the resort is enduring the monsoon season.

Rainfall

These 18 days are the lowest number of rainy days since May, but that doesn't mean that the monsoon season is over. October will be much wetter again. Bekal Beach

For a combination of sunbathing and history, there is no better place in Kerala than Bekal Beach in Kasaragod, Kerala's northernmost district. This district is known for many things, such as hills, rivers, fortresses, religion and beautiful beaches. The shallow beach near Bekal Fort is appropriately called Bekal Fort Beach and is experiencing a boom of development. Current facilities include a children's park, toilets, picnic areas, and a walkway. The beach is particularly beautiful at night when it's all lit up, allowing people to stay at the beach well past sunset.

The Aranmula Boat Race

Kerala is known for its amazing boat races that are a must-see if you are in the areahere is a boat race practically every month. The Aranmula Boat Race takes place in September and is more of a ritual than a sport with a long and colourful history. The sheer speed and number of rowers per boat is incredible, so make sure to you bring your camera to capture this spectacular event.

Chembra Peak

If you're feeling energetic, you can attempt to scale Chembra Peak. Once you've obtained permission from the Forest Range Office at Meppady, you can take the scenic drive to the foot of the mountain before starting your hour-long journey to the top. The views from the peak are incredible and stretch out for miles. This is a strongly recommended thing to do if you're a nature lover and like hiking.
