Disneyland Weather January Averages, France
Weather in Disneyland Paris in January
January is winter in France, and therefore the weather isn't as welcoming as the rest of the year . January is the coldest month of the year in this area, and sees very little sunshine.
The average daily temperature in Disneyland Paris in January is 3°C, which is the annual minimum average temperature. December and February are both one degree warmer.
In the afternoon, the mercury doesn't rise above 6°C very often this is the average daytime high temperature. At night, temperatures drop to an average of 1°C.
Frost is not uncommon this time of year. Both the average highs and lows increase by only one degree in the course of the month. Historically, January 5 is the coldest day of the year.
January is also one of the darkest moths of the whole year. Only December has shorter days than January. However, the length of the days increases slightly in the course of the month. January 1 has 8.20 hours of daylight, while January 31 has 9.22 daylight hours.
In terms of cloud cover as well, January is the second cloudiest month of the year, again after December. Cloud cover ranges around 88%, which means that the January skies are mostly cloudy.
This percentage doesn't change much in the course of the month. Short days and much cloud cover are the two reasons that the average day in January only has 2 hours of sunshine. This is the lowest number of sunshine hours per day, a number that's shared with November and December.
Rainfall is fairly constant all-year round in Paris, but in terms of total precipitation, January is the fourth wettest month. 56mm of rainfall is spread out over no less than 17 days of rainfallhis is the highest number of rainy days of any month in the year.
The chance that precipitation occurs is also almost as high as it ever gets. On average, a day in January has a 62% chance of receiving some kind of precipitation, the second highest chance of the year. Precipitation is only likelier in December.
The most common type of precipitation in January is moderate rain, which is observed on 60% of the days with rainfall. Moderate snow is second most likely, happening on 12% of the days with precipitation. Light rain and drizzle are next, respectively occurring on 11% and 10% of the rainy days.
So, be prepared, check the weather forecast and consider taking a waterproof jacket, which will come in handy with the water rides anyway! Whilst the weather may not be at its best in January, the benefit of this is that it is the slow season in Disneyland, and thus you may be able to bag a bargain if you go at this time of the year.
On top of that, with the majority of children in school at this time of the year, you're much less likely to see big crowds for the rides if you visit the park in January.
