Named after the famous beach in California, Santa Monica Beach is one of the best in the world. Here you'll find an almost never-ending stretch of powdery white sand washed by warm turquoise ocean which is just begging to be bathed in. Thanks to its sheltered position, Santa Monica Beach is a fantastic place to lie down and work on your tan.

Boa Vista is home to a Jewish cemetery which contains the graves of the Ben'Oliel family wealthy merchants who fled from Morocco to Boa Vista in 1872. Here you can walk around the graves and admire the Hebrew inscriptions visible on the tombstones or head to the small chapel nearby.
