Things to do in Bavaro in September

Sea Adventure Excursion

If you want to get to know the local marine life but don't like the idea of snorkelling or scuba diving, a Sea Adventure excursion might be just the thing. This trip is organised by Dolphin Explorer and allows you to walk on the seabed without worrying about scuba masks or snorkels. You're fitted with a large underwater helmet which is constantly pumped with oxygen and features a glass panel on the front so you can admire the exotic fish and coral formations without even getting your hair wet.

Dolphin Island

For the chance to interact with bigger marine creatures, a trip to Dolphin Island is a must. The staff at the park will stop by your hotel and pick you up before whisking you away on a speedboat to Dolphin Island where you'll have the chance to snorkel amongst electric eels and sharks. If you're not that brave you can settle for swimming with a family of five sea lions. The highlight of the excursion is the dolphin encounter in which you'll be able to stroke the dolphins, kiss them and watch them perform amazing tricks.
