What's the weather like in Praia da Luz in June
The first month of summer is an excellent time to visit Praia de Luz, because not only will you enjoy some fantastic summer weather on almost every single day of the month, but you will also be able to explore and wander to your heart's content, without too much in the way of crowds or noise. It's for these reasons that June is a popular month for those without children, away from the school summer holidays, and prices are cheaper as a result, because of this fact.
The weather is fabulous at this time and year and summer is firmly in residence for the coming few months. During this month, the resort experiences clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine, averaging around 12 hours of bright sunshine per day.
The average temperature is also enough to put a smile on your face, at 20°C throughout the month, rising to an average high temperature of up to 23°C – perfect for a suntan, without the excessively high temperatures that other nearby resorts can often be a victim of.
The further good news is that evenings are mild but not hot or cold in either direction, which means you can get away without air conditioning in your hotel room, saving you a little cash, because the average low temperature of 16°C means a comfortable night's sleep. If you are out exploring the resort during the evening, simply take a light jacket or cardigan to ward off those slightly chilly sea breezes, if you are on the sea-front.
Beach time is definitely on the agenda now too, as the average sea temperature is a wonderfully warm 22°C, and there are many water-sports and swimming opportunities to enjoy on the resort's beaches. Not to mention, one thing you certainly don't need to worry too much about now is rainfall as levels have dropped by half since May. Whilst the month can experience 16mm of rain spread over 5 days, this is almost nothing at all and chances are you won't even notice it.
