Carvoeiro offers some of the most spectacular rock formations on the coast of Portugal. One of the best examples is the Algar Seco, just 750 metres away from the downtown main square. Take a walk from downtown to see the beautiful sandy coloured rocks. Weathered by ocean spray, view these formations against the striking turquoise sea.
