September in Biarritz is an awesome time to visit one of the famous thalassotherapy (treatments with seawater) centres or one of the many spas in the city. There are a number of hotels that offer spa services and then there are the establishments that cater solely to those patrons who are looking for deep tissue massage, facial treatments, body scrubs and much more. If the beach becomes tiresome or too crowded, there are quite a few other things to see. There are a handful of really nice museums that are worth checking out.

And of course there are the many restaurants and bistros that offer up some of the best cuisine on the French coast. Visitors are encouraged to sample as many of these small, out of the way cafés as possible in order to get the real taste of Biarritz as the locals do it.

Visitors looking for nice, yet affordable, accommodations won't go wrong by checking out the Hotel Georges VI in Port Vieux, about 50 meters from the beach of Port Vieux.
