Averages for Ibiza in March

March is slightly warmer than the preceding months on the island, however it still remains quite wet.

Daytime temperatures reach around 17°C (62°F) but can fall to as low as 9°C (48°F) in the evenings. Of course, this is much milder than other parts of northern Europe at this time of year so this is a great time of year to visit to escape those winter blues.

For evenings and in case of showers you would be advised to bring jackets, waterproof macs and an umbrella.

March is quite a quiet time of year on the island. Most of the clubs remain closed and the main resorts are not overrun with tourists, making this a good time to visit if you want to explore the island at your own leisure.

And what a lot there is to explore!

You should definitely head to the Can Marca Caves and explore the array of interesting rock formations which culminate in a fabulous music and light show at its centre. Guided tours are available all year round.

The old town of Ibiza is a beautiful place to explore, and the Medieval Castle, Dalt Villa, is especially a highlight.

Hiring a jeep is a great way to explore the rest of the island, with many beautiful old towns and villages providing a contrast to the coastal resorts. Sample the array of tiny bars and tapas restaurants on your travels.

Accommodation is plentiful all year round, and is usually to be found cheaper during the winter months.

For holiday makers on a budget, self catering apartments such as Mar y Playa are popular, as well as basic hotels like Hotel Rocamar. And higher end accommodation can be found at the four star THB Los Molinos and the Royal Plaza.
