Averages for Ibiza in January
January is the coolest month of the year in Ibiza.
Daytime temperatures reach a maximum of 15°C (59°F) but can fall to around 8°C (46°F) in the evenings.
January is also fairly wet, with an average of 9 days rain. This means you are likely to experience some showers during your visit, so it is a good idea to bring a jacket, waterproof mac or umbrella.
January is one of the quietest times in Ibiza, with a lack of tourists and cool weather making it an ideal time for a peaceful getaway without all the hustle and bustle of the summer months.
Keep in mind however that many of the famed nightlife attractions will remain closed.
Ibiza is still a great place to visit all year round and there is plenty to do.
Sporty holiday makers will find plenty of facilities for other sports such as tennis, badminton, bowling, go karting and golf.
You can explore the beautiful scenery of the island by going mountain biking or hiking. This is a great time of year to do so thanks to the cooler temperatures.
Alternatively you can take a self drive Jeep safari and explore the tiny villages of the island. Soak up the local culture by eating tapas and drinking in local bars.
For those of you looking for a bargain, look no further than one of the many hippy markets. Though there are many more during the summer months, the year round markets include the San Jordi Car Boot market, held at the Hipodromo at the southern end of the village, and the Las Dalias in San Carlos.
Cheaper accommodation can be found in January at more basic resorts such as Hotel Rocamar and Hotel El Puerto, while those looking to splash out should head to Royal Plaza or THB Los Molinos.
