During this month, lows of 20°C are common, rising up to 28°C at the warmest part of the day. Things to do

The Captain Hook Pirate Ship is one of the most popular attractions in the whole of Cancun and is a great place for a family to spend a day together. This excursion departs from the port at Cancun and sails along the Caribbean Sea, when you’ll be entertained by a realistic pirate show, complete with sea shanties, cannons and sword flights. The boat trip also includes an open bar and lobster dinner with seafood, chicken, steak, vegetables, salad, rice, baked potatoes and dessert.

Nature lovers won’t want to miss the chance to spend the day at Parque Kabah – a huge ecological park which stretches on for 39 hectares. Make the most of the superb weather by spending the day at Playa Tortugas. Constitution Day

5th February 2015

The whole of Mexico, Cancun included, celebrates the signing of their constitution in 1917 with Constitution Day. This important constitution set a model for social rights which was later mirrored by international governments across the globe. Although there aren't any real events of activities celebrated in honour of this day, you'll find many banks, supermarkets and government buildings to be closed.

Día de la Bandera de Mexico

The Día de la Bandera de Mexico (National Flag Day) is celebrated with a number of colourful celebrations. During this event, locals decorate the front of their houses and the streets in white, green and red – the colours of the Mexican flag. You’ll also find plenty of street vendors throughout the resort selling miniature versions of the flag to tourists and patriotic locals.
