Averages for Cancun in February

Weather lowdown

The weather hardly changes between January and February in Cancun as the average temperature remains a pleasant 23°C. During this month, lows of 21°C are common overnight, during the early hours or following a brief rain shower. However, temperatures will rise up to 29°C at the warmest part of the day so taking precautions with sun-lotion is necessary.

Although rainfall amounts have very slightly increased to 46mm across the month, this is still one of the driest times of the year – although to really guarantee dry conditions consider travelling in April instead. Still, precipitation falls on only 5 days of the month so it is likely you will be able to avoid this rain.

At this time of the year, the resort also enjoys 9 hours of sunshine each day which is comparably wonderful. An average sea temperature of 26°C makes it a wonderful month to spend a day at the beach enjoying various water-sports. All in all, a trip to Cancun is a pretty perfect way to defeat the last of those winter-blues!
