Averages for Sunny Beach in March

March sees temperatures in Sunny Beach begin to creep up slightly, but it still remains very cool.

Daytime temperatures only reach a high of 11°C (52°F) and can fall as low as 3°C (37°F) in the evenings.

There is usually an average of seven days worth of rain during March, so depending on how long your visit is it is likely you will experience some showers while you’re there.

Recommended clothing to bring with you would include hats, gloves and scarves, as well as waterproof macs and umbrellas.

However, although the weather may mean you are unable to sun yourself on the beach, you can still enjoy the fabulous scenery in the area.

Boat tours are a great way to explore more of the Bulgarian coastline and secluded beaches, and jeep safaris are a very popular way to experience the array of wildlife in Sunny Beach up close and personal.

The nearby town of Nesebar is also well worth a visit.

This picturesque town is situated round a beautiful bay and dates from ancient Greek times. Here you can see the ruins of many ancient buildings, and also explore the wide range of stunning churches.

There is less accommodation to choose from at this time of year, but what there is will be much cheaper than in the peak season during the summer months.

Families are especially welcome at the Hotel Yavor Palace and Evrika Beach Club Hotel, whereas younger holiday makers on a budget will probably want to head to the self catering Arcadia Apartments or Palazzo Apartments.
