There are many excellent beaches around Salou, with the most popular being Ponent and Levant. Portaventura theme park remains a major attraction to this area for holiday makers of all ages, so whether you want the thrill of white knuckle rides or the more relaxed atmosphere of the various internationally-themed areas, you’re guaranteed a great time.
To soak up some of the history of the area you can visit the 16th century Torre Vella tower or the Catalan Farmhouse, which is a faithful reconstruction of a rural Spanish farm.
Nightlife in Salou also begins to heat up at this time of year, and the main centre of action is Carles Buigas Avenue, where you’ll find plenty of pubs, bars and clubs to party the night away in.
