Averages for Salou in November

November is when the dark, cold and wet sets in back in the UK, but in Salou temperatures remain mild and the sun keeps shining. Daytime temperatures still reach a pleasant high of 16°C (61°F) and only fall to around 8°C (46°F) at their lowest.

This means you can still enjoy the beautiful scenery and tourist sites of the surrounding area, though in case of rain and for the cooler evenings it’s a good idea to bring several layers and a light jacket.

You might not be able to work on your tan with a visit to Salou in November, but you’ll still be able to walk along the seafront and explore the Torre Vella tower, which dates from 1530, and the lighthouse the overlooks the beaches and has views across the ocean.

The Catalan Farmhouse is a faithful reconstruction of a historic rural farm and is a great way to get a glimpse of traditional Spanish life.

The popular Portaventura theme park remains open at selected times during November, and this is a great time of year to visit as you can wander round to your heart’s content without being overwhelmed by the summer sun. Also, there a fewer crowds so you can feel like you have the place all to yourself!

There are several hotels located within the park, such as the wild-west themed Hotel Gold River, or the exotic Caribbean paradise of Hotel Caribe.

Within Salou itself, you can stay at the Golden Port Salou, which is open all year round and features a buffet restaurant and extensive spa facility.
