Averages for Hurghada in July
Hurghada is the second largest city in Egypt and is sometimes referred to as the ‘Venice of Egypt’. With over 100 Red Sea adjacent luxury hotels and numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, tourism is the city’s biggest earner.
July is part of Hurghada’s ‘dry season’. Although the city is very dry all year round, these summer months are unlikely to experience any rainfall at all. Humidity is high during July though, so visitors may find they do get a little damp. Temperatures are warm, ranging from 26 to 36 degrees celsius.
With virtually no chance of rain, get out to the desert. A great way to get across the vast sands is by quad bike. The Top Safari company offers 6 hour quad biking excursions for as little as £25 per person and includes a camel trek and oriental buffet lunch.
Cool down with a trip out to sea in a glass bottomed boat. The Cleopatra provides four trips each day from the Sea Horse Marina next to the Hilton Plaza hotel. This is a great opportunity to see the famous Red Sea coral reefs, as well as starfish, sea urchins, crustaceans and turtles. There’s a bar on board as well.
The 3* Empire Hotel right in the heart of the city is a great place to stay, with rooms costing just £35 per night. All rooms offer private balconies or terraces, and there are 24 apartments on the complex for families and larger parties. There are many bars and restaurants at this resort, including the buffet restaurant which has a different theme each night, ranging from ‘French Romance’ and ‘European Buffet’ to ‘Oriental Night’ and ‘Wonders of the Far East’. The all-inclusive option includes dining at this venue.
