On average, 10 hours of sunshine per day can be expected throughout the month, and day time humidity is around 95%. Make sure you protect yourself from the fierce Floridian sun by using a high SPF sun cream, as well as wearing a hat and sunglasses at all times. It is very important to keep hydrated in this heat, so it is advisable to carry around a bottle of water, especially at the theme parks where you could be queuing for long stretches of time.

As it is rainy season still, it is very likely to be wet in July. The average monthly precipitation is around 196 mm, and the chances of rainfall are for 21 days throughout the month. However it rarely stays around for a whole day. Most of the rain is received in the form of strong thunderstorms in the afternoon, which pass within an hour.

Things to do

Step right into your favourite movies and TV programmes as you experience a star-studded range of rides, shows and movie sets. You may even catch a film crew at work! Go behind the scenes with Disaster and Horror Make-Up Show and become part of the action in the exhilarating Revenge of The Mummy and Twister rides.

Fly through the sky on a bicycle with E.T. Adventure, shoot some aliens on the Men In Black ride and be sure to check out the new Transformers ride. Daring enough to ride Orlando's tallest rollercoaster Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit? You get to choose your own soundtrack before strapping in, and the whole ride will be recorded on video for you to edit. After a long day at the park, stroll down CityWalk lined shops, restaurants, bars and clubs.

If you'd rather escape the heat by staying inside, Kennedy Space Centre is well worth a visit.
