The high temperatures of July make it the ideal month to while away relaxing days at the beach. Kusadasi boasts so many beaches that you’ll be spoilt for choice. Love Beach is framed by the glistening azure ocean and the verdant National Park hills. Its ideal location means that you can spend the morning trying out the various water sports, before heading under the shade of the National Park trees for a tasty BBQ or picnic when it gets too hot.
Whichever beach you decide to visit, it’s best to avoid being in direct sunlight when the sun is at its strongest – between 11am and 2pm – so you don’t suffer from bad sunburn or severe sunstroke.
A great way to avoid the midday sun and cool off is to visit the Cave of Zeus. This water cave is hidden behind the trees and flowers at the entrance of the National Park and can be reached on foot. The clear, deep mineral waters make it the perfect place for swimming or diving and the cool water is a welcome relief from the heat of July.
One of the most popular family excursions in Kusadasi is a horse safari. On this trip you trek through the forests and mountain on horseback until you reach Pamucak where you have the opportunity to swim with the horses and gallop along the beach.
