All the lakes have also melted by mid July. The cable car ride is a good way to see it all, as it gives the best views of the whole village and the mountains.
You can experience the warm water springs and geysers around the town as well.

Banff Summer Arts Festival also occurs from July to August at the Banff centre. It is Banff's largest festival and showcases the works of the area's best artists with a number of different events including aboriginal art, film screenings, theatre shows, jazz and dance performances, lectures and art exhibitions.
