Situated on the northern coast of Cuba; Cayo Guillermo is a Kay apart of the Jardines de Rey archipelago. This cluster of islands is Cuba’s most favourable tourist location, including four comprehensive resorts and is home to the county’s finest beaches; the “playa pilar” also known as Pilar Beach. With locality in the Caribbean Sea; this gorgeous region is within small distance from many of Cuba’s capital towns. Both Havana and Varadero are less then a 175km bus ride away and offer some the country’s most ideal tourist activities. With beaches of a complete area of 38 sq km and 27km in length, Cayo Guillermo is assured tropical paradise for those who love to relax in the sun.

The typical climates that are featured in Cayo Guillermo are very hot and dry throughout an entire year. The average temperatures experienced throughout the region are ideal for sunbathing, swimming and for water sport lesuires all year round. For visitors who love to spend their vacations in the hot peak of the summertime; Cayo Guillermo is an idyllic location. With the climate rarely dipping below 20ºC at any time of the year, a holiday in the region of Guillermo is also suitable year round.

The climate of Cayo Guillermo is not, however not intolerably hot as pleasant soothing breezes and refreshing coastal winds create a very pleasing overall climate. The region sees its visitors holidaying between in months of November to April as this time ensures a warm climate, without being oppressive and very minimal rainfall. Although rainfall is quite rare in the Cayo Guillermo region; precipitation is more common throughout the warmer months than in the wintertime. The temperature does decline slightly when rainfall is present however the cool oceanic breezes assure a pleasurable climate. Precipitation is at its highest between the months of May to September averaging anywhere between 90mm to 180mm per month. Rainfall is very sporadic, and it also comes in forms of short brisk showers therefore it rarely disturbs outdoor activities.

With incredible underwater visibility sea temperatures average around 28ºC year round; creating an ultimate environment for swimming, fishing, diving, scuba diving and sunbathing at anytime of the year. The average climate of Cayo Guillermo is relatively hot and the summertime commences in the months of May and concludes in October. Winter barely varies temperature wise and as with the summertime it sees temperatures staying comfortable and pleasant. Temperatures throughout the summer range for 31ºC to 33ºC and in the winter normally sit at a comfortable 24ºC to 27ºC. Unlike most areas where summer is the peak season; Cayo Guillermo sees its tourists visiting in the winter.  Sunshine hours range from seven to eight hours per day year round and humidity also varies throughout the year. Overall Cayo Guillermo’s characteristic climate is very consistent with long hours of gorgeous weather all year round.
