As with
most of the Costa del Sol, a region in the southern Spain, the area that
forms the Riviera del Sol is known mostly to be tourist bliss. Riviera del Sol is
situated in the heart of the Costa del Sol and
is located on the coast. It is mid-way between Fuengirola, Mijas and Marbella
and
is adjacent to Calahonda as it runs all the way down the beach.
Riviera del Sol covers an area west of La Cala and near Marbella. It is a quiet area of the coast, having plenty of charm for the tourists to enjoy. Riviera del Sol has its own golf course and golf school and its bus route takes to all areas of the coast while the El Zoco shopping centre of Calahonda is not far. It is only a short walk away.

del Sol is a delightful stretch of land prime for tourists' pleasure. It offers

selection of bars and restaurants, easy road access to Marbella and Fuengirola

The beach at the Riviera del Sol runs throughout the Mijas Costa area, forming part of the 12 km stretch, and reaches all the way to Marbella. Miraflores is a golf school along with Riviera de Solâs own golf course. It is

Riviera del Sol also boasts the most attractive and largest coral reefs found in the Caribbean which makes both diving and snorkelling a memorable experience.
Riviera del Sol is an inviting holiday destination, well known among visitors for its new Riviera Plaza Commercial Centre consisting of many excellent restaurants, bars, cafes, offices and shops. This Plaza becomes a happening place as the night falls with shining candlelight illuminating the pleased faces of the tourists dining out in the area. Climate
Riviera del Sol enjoys hot summers and warm winters making it a typical sub-tropical Mediterranean climate. The average temperatures in summers are around 32 ºC and the heat in this season stays bearable because of the cool breezes blowing from the sea.
Summer
Summer season in Riviera del Sol enjoys the characteristic Mediterranean climate with hot summers and dry daytime temperatures. This season does not signal any rainfall and sun lovers will love the average temperature, which goes up to 32 ºC throughout the summer months. Summer is also an ideal time for swimmers and divers as the seawater temperature stays around 23 ºC throughout the season.
Autumn
Autumn season in Riviera del Sol experiences heavy rain along with bright sunny days between the months of September and November because of its sub-tropical Mediterranean climate and is a good time for the visitors who want a break from their countryâs harsh weather. The months of September and early October gets the average temperatures of 28 ºC to 23 ºC making this season also a great time to holiday.
Winter
Riviera del Sol experiences mild, rainy winters and it almost always stays sunny and warm even during these months. Winter season generally sees the average high of 12 ºC and even in the coolest month of January it sees the high of 17 ºC however, the weather does get cold as the temperature drops to about 8 or 9 degrees during the day and gets colder due to the clear skies at night.
Spring
During the spring season, the average temperature ranges between 23 ºC to 27 ºC and around 10 hours of sunshine a day. Spring is an ideal time to visit as you can avoid summerâs hot temperatures but you can still rely on clear skies and long sunny days and mild pleasant evenings.
