As a result of on-going political unrest in EgyptMSC Cruises has cancelled MSC Armonia’s 2013-2014 winter itineraries in the Red Sea.

Safety and security is MSC Cruises’ number one priority and the MSC fleet only ever sails to the safest destinations.

This winter, MSC Armonia travellers will now enjoy two exciting new itineraries departing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a stunning volcanic island boasting breath-taking natural attractions including sublime sand dunes, beautiful marinas, tropical forests, craters and caves, as well as an intriguing history: it was from here that Christopher Columbus set off on his discovery of America.

With calls in FunchalSanta Cruz de La PalmaSan Sebastian and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, MSC Armonia’s first itinerary is an exploration of the best of the Canary Isles, encompassing great shopping and beach opportunities in fun tourist towns and blissful encounters with nature at its best.

Highlights of this diverse itinerary include visits to the National Park Caldera de Taburiente from La Palma, where travellers can explore one of the biggest craters in the world, and the circular Las Cañadas mountain range in Tenerife.

With calls in CasablancaAgadirArrecife de Lanzarote and Puerto del Rosario, MSC Armonia’s second itinerary will take in all the natural beauty of the Canary Isles as well as two popular destinations in mystical Morocco.

Visiting sacred mosques and magical bazaars, or simply being ‘on location’ in this iconic city, Casablanca offers travellers a rare experience, as well as the chance to travel further afield to the vibrant city of Marrakech.  Another highlight of this itinerary is Agadir, Morocco’s surfers paradise, where pleasure seekers can relax on the beach and the more adventurous can venture off into the region’s stunning surroundings, the majestic Atlas mountains and awe-inspiring Sahara desert.

With a mild climate, winter sun, and fantastic natural, cultural and historical attractions, these two new itineraries offer an exciting alternative to the Red Sea.

The two itineraries can also be easily combined to offer travellers a unique 14-night voyage and are available to book now.
