The weather will vary from village to village, month to month, however the great thing about a Centre Parcs holiday is that even if itâs grey drizzly outside, thereâs plenty of indoor fun to enjoy, including a sub tropical swimming paradise, which is a balmy 29.5°C all year round.

Climate

The UK experiences all four seasons, with 1°C low temperatures in the winter and 20°C highs in the summer. The winters are wet and cold with an average of 18 days of snowfall and 120mm of rain, while the summer season is mild, sunny â" and rainy. Indeed, the summer months also yield a considerable amount of rain with an average 65mm from April to July. Yearly, England sees about 1102mm of rain from the whole year, with rainier weather in the winter. An island with a maritime climate, winds are constant across the country and throughout the year.

Winter

The average temperature during the winter months sits around 4°C. The sun shines for very few hours during the day, preventing the temperature from rising any higher. The average maximum temperature during the winter is 7°C with a low temperature of 1°C. The winter months sees a lot of cloudy days and rain, averaging 200mm. 

November sees the biggest decline in temperatures, dropping down to 6°C on a daily average. Rainfall increases to an average of 80mm during the month. With the onset of winter come heavier winds with an average of 16 km/h. These winds bring colder temperatures, which hit a low in December with 6°C. November and December have an average of 2 days of snowfall.

During January and February, England can experience snow in large quantities, ranging from about 6 to 10 days of snowfall. However, the snow does not usually last long and usually melts away in 2 to 4 days. February sees a little less snow with only an average of six days of falling snow. These last winter months see a small increase in wind speeds averaging around 20km/h.

Spring                            

The beginning of spring marks an increase in temperature as well as an increase in daylight hours to an average of seven hours a day. England begins to dry out at this time, with lower amounts of rainfall. Winds also decrease to an average of 14 km/h. The sun comes out for an average of 5.5 hours a day.

April brings warmer temperatures with an average maximum of 12°C and a daily average of 8°C May brings the warmest spring temperatures with an average of 12°C and peaking at 17°C preparing for summer. May brings lower winds speeds with an average of 12km/h.

Summer

The summer brings much warmer temperatures with a high of 21°C on average. The daily average temperature for each of the Center Parcs locations is around 16°C, making for a mild summer. Temperatures will drop to an average of 16°C, with occasional lower temperatures. Summer does not always bring sunny weather, as there is only an average of 6 hours of daylight and a steady chance of rain.

During June, temperatures stay around 14°C and warms slowly throughout the month. Rain is common during the month with average rainfall reaching 68mm. The UKâs constant rains throughout the year may not be ideal in terms of a guaranteed summers, however, it does ensure that the countryside stays green and pleasant. Shower storms are common during this time because of the winter temperatures moving out of the area. Wind is also common during the month of June averaging about 16 km/h.

July is the warmest month of the year for England with temperatures reaching an average high of 22°C. Throughout the month, the temperature stays around a steady 19°C, with lower wind speeds, around 14km/h. Unfortunately July brings an increase in rain with a steady average of 74mm. Thereâs an average of 5.5 hours of sunshine to enjoy.

August remains much like July for England, with warmer temperatures and an average high temperature of 21°C. In spite of the warmer temperatures, England also experiences an increase in rainfall during August; averaging 95mm. The wind contributes to rougher weather even though it remains the same average as July, 14km/h.

Autumn

Autumn brings a quick decline in temperature and a quick increase in rainfall. September brings a steady decline in the average temperatures, with a daily average of 13°C. The average high for the month is around 17°C, providing a bit of Indian summer warmth before the onset of winter. Rainfall during September is similar to that in August, while the amount of sunshine during September contributes to the temperature drop with an average of only 4.5 hours of daylight. The winds begin to pick up slightly during this month averaging about 16km/h.

October brings the autumn weather for England with a drastic drop in temperatures. The average temperature for the month is about 10°C, with a common low of 8°C. Occasionally temperatures will reach 12°C bringing a warm summer breeze. Rainfall increases to an average of 120mm during the month, steadily increasing while with the onslaught of winter. The amount of sunshine decreases to only three hours a day. Winds also greatly increase during this time to 18km/h with frequent storms.
