Weather was really, really réally hot. But like the locals, I took 'siesta's', and avoided being outside between 13 and 17. - Read More Review by : K. E. - Sunday 3rd May 2009

Weather Overview for Seville

SUMMER
From June till
September the temperature soars; day times rarely peak below the 30s. July and August see Seville’s hottest weather,
with an average
maximum temperature of 36°C and minimum temperatures around 20°C.
A 36°C average high means that at times it can get into the 40s. The sun is
relentless, peaking in July at twelve hours per day. There is little relief in
the form of wind or rain; the city is very dry throughout the summer months and
typically in drought for July and August.

WINTER
Mild temperatures last
from December
till February. January is the coldest month but still has an average high of 15°C
and an average minimum of 6°C. The temperature almost never reaches freezing.
Locals are so confident of the warm winters that many houses do not have
heating. It is warm even for

AUTUMN/SPRING
The shoulder seasons see
significant rainfall
but are very warm and see plenty of sunshine. In spring the average high
temperature makes its way through the 20s, creeping from 20°C in March to 24°C
in April and 27°C in May. In autumn
it drops to 26°C in October and 20°C in November. Throughout both seasons night
times are refreshingly cool, not getting above the low teens on average. Many
will find these temperatures preferable to the extreme heat of summer. Spring
starts with an exceptionally rainy period, though rainfall is concentrated to a
few very heavy storms. It then reduces to moderate levels. October and
November also receive a few downpours. Rain is unlikely to cause any lengthy
disruptions and can often come as a relief from the heat. Sunshine levels are
better in spring than in autumn. Spring is also host to many of
