Weather Overview for Limassol
Limassol is geographically the largest city in Cyprus, but second largest based on population. Its location on the southern coast of the island means it enjoys a typical, Mediterranean climate of long hot summers and short mild winters. The popular summer months see hot days and balmy nights while the winter months see mild days, chilly nights and moderate rainfall. The predictability of the weather in climate should make it very easy for you to choose when to visit.

SUMMER
Summer, as in most Mediterranean destinations, is the longest season and with average high temperatures in the 20’s lasting from May till October. Water activities provide cooling breaks essential in the peak months as temperatures in Limassol can often reach mid 30’s.
June, July and August see average highs between 27°C and 29°C. May and October see less severe highs in the mid 20s. Due to its proximity to the ocean Limassol is slightly cooler than inland areas. Like many Mediterranean coastal resorts, the area is cooled by evening sea breezes which offer much needed relief from the daytime heat. Evening temperatures cool off pleasantly at the beginning and end of the season but around the peak months they stay around the low 20’s. In combination with the low humidity, this level of heat is generally not uncomfortable. These hot nights allow for fun to extend long past sundown.

are highly susceptible to the sun and wind. The average high in January is 15°C
while it is one or two degrees higher in the surrounding months. On sunny days
it can get up to 20°C but wet and windy weather can see the daytime temperature
