Es Cana is a renowned holiday location in Ibiza,
on the Balearic Islands of Spain. Es Cana features a typical Mediterranean
climate with hot summers and mild winters.
Situated in close proximity to the a small town of Santa
Eulalia on the east coast of Ibiza, Es Cana is a extremely conventional family
resort located on a hemisphericalshaped
cay with beautiful, fine white sandy beaches and high quality ranged
facilities. With an outstanding range of hotels and first class accommodation,
Es Cana is one of the Spain’s
most popular island resorts with many outdoor lesuires available such as its
well known Hippie Market.
The typical climatic conditions in Es Cana are generally
warm and filled with sunshine all year round, creating an ideal vacation even
throughout the winter season. The characteristic weather throughout the summer
will show average temperatures of 21ºC in May, 25ºC in June and July and 29ºC
or higher in August; generating an ideal holiday for relaxation on the beach.
Even though an average of 70mm of rainfall is obtained
throughout a seven to nine day period, October is the regions rainiest month.
Es Cana is generally see a few short brisk showers during the summer season,
but only one or two centimetres of rain falls in total during summer. However,
the sun is a huge factor in everyday climate of Es Cana averaging at fourteen
to fifteen hours of daylight each every from May to August and the region
features nine to eleven hours of sunshine per day. Sunshine hours remain high
throughout the majority of the year, enjoying at least eight hours a day
throughout autumn and spring.
Throughout the summertime the climates at night are mild and
pleasant, varying from 18ºC to 21ºC. Average ocean temperatures throughout the
peak season of May to August ranger from 18ºC to a lovely 26ºC in August when
the surrounding sea is at its most pleasing. The waters around the entire
region of Ibiza are swarming with mesmerizing
sea life, the mild sea temperatures ensure that diving and snorkelling are an
ideal leisure for the majority of the year.
Even the winter time can promise glorious climates,
averaging between five to eight hours of vivid sunshine every day between the
months of October to April. Daytime temperatures throughout the winter are very
enjoyable hovering around 18ºC in November and declined to only 16ºC in
December creating an enjoyable Christmas holiday – especially if you want to
escape the freezing temperatures common to the UK. The coldest month of the
year in Es Cana is January; however extreme minimum temperatures are at a
pleasant 12ºC. There is also a small risk of frost in the early mornings if you
vacation to the region in January and February, yet they normally disappear by
midday resulting in a beautiful day to enjoy the sunshine.
